I am sharing a card that makes my heart heavy every time I have to make one. I do not make sympathy cards in advance. I try to make a sympathy card with the receiver in mind. I cannot begin to feel the person’s pain but I want them to know I am thinking of them in their time of loss.
The Flourish dies gave me inspiration for my card today. I paired the new in-color sea-side spray with very vanilla for a softer look.
It is a beautiful day in Northern New York. Birds are chirping and the sun is shining. As promised I am showing you a card that displays the medium daisy punch. To be honest , I almost did not buy this punch. I have the bigger daisy punch. I thought I have the bigger daisy punch, why do I need two daisy punches? Well I am so glad I talked myself into buying the medium punch( I am so easy when it comes to StampinUp products).
I will explain how easy peasy this card is to make. Take a piece of colored cardstock and center a strip of 2 1/2 x 5 1/2 of whisper white. Add a 2 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of designer series to the whisper white. Punch six white daisies and add a crushed curry middle. Stamp a sentiment and punch. Super easy.
The products I used are found on the following pages of the annual catalog:
Pretty Label Punch pg. 187
1/2 inch circle punch pg.187
Medium Daisy punch pg. 187
Cardstock and Ink pgs. 162-165
Designer Series Paper pgs.165-168
Sentiment for Good Morning Magnolia set pg. 38
Have fun with the daisy punch. Enjoy this day! Char

Good Morning! I am sharing one of the gifts I gave to my class members at our last class. I hold a class at our local library on the third Tuesday of the month. I started having classes about three years ago. I wanted to share my love of cardmaking and products from StampinUp!. I love to measure and put the cards together. I started with one member coming to class (who eventually became a downline) to having 18. I had to have two classes. I love it when everyone gets so excited about their cards. I look forward to class time.
I want to share with you this morning how easy it is to make one of these little composition books . You can buy them 3/$1.00 at the Dollar General. I kept glancing at them and the DSP (designer series paper) I have . The magnolia lane dsp jumped out at me. You just measure from the black binding to the end . I then rounded the corners of measured dsp with the detailed trio punch. Then tried it for a fit and it was perfect. I then did a happy dance. I used Tombow glue to attach dsp to the book. I then used sentiment from matching stamp set. I cut sentiment our with the stitched rectangle dies which are a must have with me now. So cute.
The products I used can be found in the annual catalog on pgs. 38,196,and 187. If you don’t have a catalog please contact me or click on the shop now icon.
Good Morning! I am writing a quick blog today to tell you about something exciting I have learned. September 23-29 is Thinking of You week. The week is part of an international movement to celebrate the joy of sending and receiving hand written notes and cards. It is suggested you send a card a day. I looked in my stash of cards and realized I do not have a thinking of you card to send everyday. So I am off to my happy place to stamp. Have a great weekend. ( I told you this was a quick blog today)
Good Morning, Good Morning. Life gets in the way sometimes. I am back.
As most of you know I have a class at the local library on the third Tuesday of each month. I started having them about three years ago and one person came. She loved the class and is now my downline. The next year I had about 6 people come to class. Last Tuesday I had eleven people at class. I call them my regulars . We all have so much fun.
I usually lug my Big Shot to every class. I decided for this class I was going to show them what you can do with paper, punches, and ink. And yes, for you more observant viewers I did emboss a piece of white at home to put in their packets.
This card is so easy and fun to make. I measured a piece of Highland Heather cardstock at 4 1/4 x 9 3/4 and scored at 5 1/2. Then I attached a 4 x 4 piece of DSP to the top piece. Then attached a 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 piece of Highland Heather to the middle of the DSP. The white embossed cardstock is measured at 2 1/2 x 2 1/2. I punched a large daisy and stamped a large daisy . I used dimensional to put together and added a leaf. On the inside I cut a piece of white cardstock at 4 x 5 1/4. Use any greeting that will fit across the bottom. I used a sentiment from the Colorful Seasons stamp set. And you are finished. Oops I added a gem to daisy also. I want to emphasize the punches I used. They are the Daisy punch found on page 187 of the AC and the Leaf punch found on the same page.
My next post will feature the coordinating daisy punch . Enjoy your day. Char
I am dedicating my blog post to my husband Tom today . It is his birthday. I promise I wont brag too much. He is my everthing. He is my “gentle”man. He tries to see the best in everyone, ignoring the worst if possible. He is athletic -can play any kind of sport. But he loves a good game of golf these days . He is a father to our children and a grandfather whom his grandchildren adore. I fell in love with him not knowing at the time he is the best husband in the world. He is my truest friend. I could go on and on but I am not a wordy person . And it would take me forever to type . He is a great man. So Happy Birthday Tom. Your card is by the Keurig along with cup. Today I will make your coffee .
I made his card with some supplies I brought from home. But it turned out entirely different than what I planned. I took a Gray Granite base card and laid a Blueberry Bushel piece of cardstock on top. I then took a piece of Best Route Designer Series Paper and layered that on top. Oh by the way Tom’s nickname at one time was Rand McNally. He is very good at getting us to our destinations . He still prefers reading a map compared to following Google maps. Ok back to my supply list. I used the Birthday Wishes for You stamp set inked with Blueberry Bushel.
Today I am bringing you a super simple card . I decided to put the greeting on the inside of this card. I felt I was taking away from the beauty of the card front. The card literally took me 5- 10 minutes to make. The hardest part for me was tying the bow. My upline , Susan Horr has tried to help me tie bows for years . I even have a member of my library class that helps me. I won’t give up trying .
The cardstock looks white but it is Very Vanilla . I ran the Country Floral Textured Impression Embossing Folder with cardstock through the Big Shot. I made the bow with Crumb Cake weave ribbon . I added a few gold metallic pearls. And voila I was finished.
I am going to try inking the folder with color next time. You can get this folder FREE with a $50.00 ( before tax and S/H) purchase from the Occassions or Annual Catalog. You must order by March 31st.
I used these products:

Good Morning! Well another sleepless night so I got up at 5:30am and made this card. I have a little craft space in our Florida home which is so cozy. And this morning I so enjoyed the quiet time to create.
I made this card using two of my favorite products in the 2019 Occasions Catalog, a stamp set called “Life is Grand” and products from the Happiness Blooms Suite. The stamp set is such a value at $20.00. It includes five of the new cling stamps. I have to admit I was a little apprehensive to use the cling stamps but I am totally at ease now . The set is five greetings that can be used over and over. The set is found on pg. 17 in the Occasions Catalog. If you don’t have a catalog go to my store and search item # 148744.
The Happiness Blooms Designer series paper is item # 148795 found on pg. 25 in the Occasions Catalog. And yes some people would call this paper a little bold. I call it cheery!! As a demonstrator I was able to buy the whole suite early . Becoming a StampinUp! demonstrator has some wonderful perks. I would love to have you on my team . If you join before March 31st you will get $175.00 worth of product for just $99.00.
I hope Happiness Blooms for you today. Please contact me with any questions. Char
