Gift Box

on stage boxGood Morning! It is a little cool in southern Florida today. 49 degrees. So I grabbed my morning coffee and put a blanket over my legs. It is suppose to go to 72 degrees today so that will warm the Florida residents up a bit.

I was fortunate to be able to go to a Stampin’Up! Onstage event in Orlando a couple of weeks ago. Stampin’Up! is celebrating 30 years of being in business . Between 5500-6000 demonstrators were there. The best part is we were given the new Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogs with new products that can be purchased beginning January 2nd. And we got a few of the stamp sets as prizes. Of course I want one of everything so I have started a wish list. You will need to start a list also.

At the convention you usually give your upline and your downline ( s ) a little gift. It is a gift from the heart. It is so exciting to be there with your upline and your downline. So I made this box out of cardstock , added decoration, and a ribbon . I had bought some hand soap at Bath and Body Works . The soap fit perfectly in the box.

The cardstock is cut at 8 x 11. Score each side  at the 2 inch mark . I used the multipurpose liquid  glue to secure the box. If you do not like the glue use your tear and tape adhesive. I do not recommend the snail adhesive. It is just not strong enough. So have some fun and make a few of these boxes for Christmas .

Have a great day !

Paper Pumpkin

August Paper Pumpkin

Good Morning from sunny Florida!

Today I  am showing you a card I made using  the August Paper Pumpkin kit with a little modification. The kit is called Blissful Blooms. I admit I just opened it. I wish I had opened it sooner. The sentiment used in the card is just beautiful. Plus it had come with four other sentiments also. The kit includeseverything to make 10 cards.

The flowered layer was the original card base. But I  cut it down and adhered to the coordinating blackberry bliss cardstock. The kit also includes the tags for the sentiments but this sympathy card  is going to a special person in my life so I wanted to dress it up a little. So I stamped the sentiment onto whisper white cardstock. I then used my Big Shot and the Stitched Shapes framelits to cut three different ovals and put them on with dimensionals.

You can subscribe to Paper Pumpkin  monthly, quarterly, yearly , any way you want. And the great deal with Paper Pumpkin pricing is it incudes FREE SHIPPING. The price is $19.95 a month. Contact me if you need further information.

Have a great day and sneek some time in for some cardmaking. Char

My Florida Craft Room

Florida craft room

Good morning,

First things first- Happy Birthday to my youngest daughter Clarissa. She is now 37. Clarissa told me she can see a wrinkle. I told her it happens to the best of us. But you had to here her explain it. She makes me laugh quite often. Anyways I never took a picture of the card I made her. And I did not make a double as I often do with my cards.

So today I am showing you a picture of my cardmaking area in my get away home in Florida. Tom moved the furniture in which was given to me as a gift from  a friend. It was finished yesterday. We arrived in Florida on Oct. 30th. Then I had the greatest experience of going to Onstage in Orlando on Nov 7-10th. More on that in another post. I still have to unload some of my stamp sets I brought down from home. I was so anxious for awhile.  I thought I had left all my framelits and thinlets at home in NY. I could not find them. But then Tom says remember they are  in the K-cup box over there. I had forgotten and thought  the box was for recycling.

Well that is all for today. Have a good day and weekend. Be creative . Char
