Birthday Wishes for You
My oldest granddaughter has a birthday in April. She is a beautiful young woman inside and out. I made the card with two fun products in the 2018 Occasions catalog. And I cased the card from Stampin’Up! site. So easy and fun.
My base card is Whisper White. I took some Picture Perfect Party DSP (retiring -sad) and layered on top. I then stamped the greeting with the Birthday Wishes for You stamp set (carrying over -happy). I used my Stampin’ Blends to color the words. I then added some tutti frutti embellishments.
The fun paper (145559) is available until May 31. So shop now . So many colors , so many designs.

Dapper Denim
Good Morning!!
I want to share with you this morning two cards made with a favorite retiring cardstock – dapper denim. I am so sad to see it go. But I have some extra put away so I can come back to it anytime I want. The ribbon is also retiring.
I made the card base with daffodil delight. Love, love the two colors together.
The stamp set I used for the greeting is Hello Friend found on page 17 of the annual catalog. It is a retiring stamp set so order before 5/31.
The Rose Garden thinlets found on page 216 of the annual catalog are also retiring. And a little goof on my part I have two sets of these thinlets. I guess that shows how much I really like them:)

Sweet Soiree
Good Morning!!! The sun is shining. Going to be a good day.
I am showing you the second card we made in class at the Library. This i an easy card that can be whipped up in about 10 minutes. I am going to give you the measurements . Here we go:
I used a white cared base. I layered a 4 1/4″ x 3 1/2″piece of Berry Burst cardstock on to a piece of 4 1/2″ x 3 3/4 Old Olive cardstock . I then added 3 strips measuring 4″ x 1″ of Sweet Soiree DSP. I then added a strip measuring 3 1/2″ x 1/2″ of Berry Burst . I stamped the greeting using the Special Celebrations stamp set. I am so happy this is a carrying over to the new catalog. I then punched using the Pretty Label punch which is also carrying over. I added a piece of matching DSP to the envelope and trimmed the edges.
So before your day really gets hectic go and make this quick card !!!

Hello
Good Morning. I have decided to have classes at my local library every third Tuesday of the month until October. I had my first class yesterday . Such a great turnout. Nine women gathered and I think they truly had fun. I did.
This card is inspired by my upline Susan Horr. She had sent me a card and I thought it was so cute. So I used her design with stamps I had . The women had fun with it.
I used the wreath and flowers from the stamp set “Hello Friend” . The wreath was stamped in Lemon Lime Twist. Flowers were stamped in Night of Navy.
The greetings are from the stamp set ” Eastern Beauty” stamp set and were stamped in Night of Navy.
And of course I had a couple of punches. I wanted to show them it doesn’t take a lot to make a beautiful card from the heart. There were a couple of ooo’s and ahhh’s. I am not sure of the spellings but you get the idea.
Anyways it felt good to get back at the Library and to having a class. I think the Librarian was as excited as I was. There was a lot of excitement in the room.

Color Revamp
Good Morning !!
Well Tom and I are back to our home in the North. We came back to ice and snow . At one point we wanted to turn around and head back to Florida! But it is nice to be back North closer to family and friends.
Today will be a short post to show the new colors in Stampin’Up!’s color revamp. The revamp takes place about every 5 years or so. I personally love this year’s revision. Mint Macaron is back. One of my favorites . Customers are glad to see Poppy Parade also.
Well so long for now. I will have another cup of coffee and look at the color chart and think Spring! Char
Get Well
Good Morning. I made this card for a friend who also lives in Florida year round now. We worked together in New York. Susie is battling cancer. As she says -there are good days and bad days. One Sunday afternoon while I was at Kim’s (remember my best friend who has Stampinup! inventory) for our weekly card making session, I told her I wanted to make a card for Susie. Kim also has become a good friend with Susie. Kim suggested the stamp set above. How beautiful. I had brought my Stampin Blends with me for the winter to practice. Kim also used this stamp set for a birthday card. We had the best afternoon . I love the colors.
I say a prayer for Susie daily . Her card is going in the mail today. I visited her yesterday . She has been receiving many cards and said they mean so much to her . She said she never realized that a certain day when she needs a pick me up a card is received.
The stamp set I used is Birthday Blooms ( 140658) on pg. 70 of the annual catalog. Such a beautiful stamp to ink and color for any occasion.

Hello. I have been away for some weeks and want to start sharing some of my cards again. Tom and I are wintering in Florida and the weather is beautiful. So needless to say most of my card making is done late in the afternoon after I have soaked in the sun. I boxed a few stamping supplies and brought them with me but I have borrowed many items from my friend Kim who lives in Florida year round . She is also a StampinUp! demonstrator and has so much product. It has been a standing joke that when the main warehouse at StampinUp! runs out of something they call her to see if she has extra. So I will be combining retired and current items in my posts. The card above is made with the current annual catalog and the 2018 Occasions catalog. And it is very simple to make .

Holiday Greetings
I wanted to post some of my projects I have made for the Christmas season. I cannot express how much pleasure I get from making my own cards and papercraft products. I feel I am giving a part of me to whomever receives a card and gift. My hope is whoever is the receiver, it may brighten their day.

Gift Card Holder
I hope everyone is getting close to finishing your shopping and gift wrapping. I have made 15 gift card holders in 3 different designs. I have had so much fun. I have texted pictures to my daughters. One of my daughters asked if I would make some for her Secret Santa at work and of course I said “yes”. After talking to my other daughter she said Mom they would be great for my pre-teens to give for birthday presents. So in the next couple of months I will be making birthday holders. Gift cards are the gifts to receive these days, even though I still like to give personal presents wrapped .
Anyways , this is my favorite pattern I used this year (besides the mini treat bag) . I have followed Patti Bennett’s basic design and added my own personal touch. I plan on offering a class on gift card holders in the spring at my local library.

Large Letters Framelits
I made a couple of wine tags the other day . Wine is always nice to give as a gift this time of year. It is also nice to give to the host of your Christmas party. Which do you like better -left or right? First I should tell you a little tip. I made one with the Whisper White cardstock. I then decided it was too flimsy for me so I made another one with thick white cardstock. What a difference. So thick cardstock it is. I broke down about a month ago and ordered the Large Letters Framelits . Other than the Big Shot this is my next favorite investment.
The one on the left is made using the 3-D technique. So much fun. So easy. You pop up the letters using the foam Adhesive Strips found on pg. 203 in the annual catalog. the Boxwood Wreaths Embellishments work perfect for the O.
Today a group of us are flying to Germany to visit some Christmas markets. I am not a big fan of flying but realize that is the only way to get there.
So I will be back next week .
